For many people the spread of this virus and the news associated with it has caused fear and anxiety. God’s Word is very clear that He has given us a spirit of love, not fear. My prayer is that we would live with the peace of God in the midst of these circumstances. Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” This means we should be neither careless nor reactionary; rather, we should be wise. We are each called to work together to serve our church and community in a way that demonstrates trust in our God, who is ultimately in control.
Let's use this time to draw closer to God, dig deeper in His Word, spend more time in family discipleship, and be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Please be prayerful for our world and community, specifically for those who are directly impacted by this virus.

2. Listen and Encourage
Ask your kids, young ones, youth to share their feelings about this time. Reassure them that they are safe and loved and to hope in Christ.
3. Pray
Let us pray together as a family each day. Pray specifically for your family, friends, Home Group, church, and the world.
4. Family Discipleship
After prayer, spend a few additional meetings studying God's Word together. Parents, it doesn't need to be a perfect bible study or worship, just do the best you can to strive for prayer and God's Word!
